- REPLY TO THE LETTER FROM BURSA MALAYSIA SECURITIES BERHAD DATED 10 MAY 2021

We refer to the media article entitled “Gamuda plans RM5.2 bil highway trust company” appearing in the TheEdge Malaysia dated 10 May 2021, a copy of which is enclosed for you reference. In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the sentences which are reproduced as follows:

1. “Gamuda Bhd has proposed to the government for the four highway concessions under its stable to be placed into a trust company.”
2. “In the proposal that had been sent to the Works Ministry, Gamuda proposed that the highways be placed in a special purpose vehicle called Amanah Lebuhraya Sdn Bhd. The highway trust company will be overseen by a board of directors.”
3. “Amanah Lebuhraya would then go on to raise money from bond investors to buy up the four highways from Gamuda. In return, Gamuda – the main proponent of the highway trust- envisages that the bond investors would get a return of about 5%.”
