We refer to the letter dated 26 February 2008 from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad to Gamuda Berhad ("the Company") in relation to the above matter.
We wish to inform as follows:-
1. Dato’ Lin is still the Managing Director and a shareholder of the Company and he has reiterated his commitment to continue in his role as Managing Director. As such, we do not expect his cessation as a substantial shareholder to have any operational impact to the Group or affect the prospects of the Company.
2. Whilst there is no service agreement/contract between Dato’ Lin and the Company, his employment as an employee of the Company is through a letter of employment.
3. The Company’s management structure has evolved and strengthened over the years and we are grooming suitable candidates to succeed all key management positions.
4. The changes in the shareholdings of all directors in the Company for the past 6 months from 1/9/2007 to 26/2/2008 based on the Company’s register are as attached.
