We refer to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s letter dated 13 January 2006 and the news article appearing on page B2 in the Business Times section of The New Straits Times on Friday, 13 January 2006.

We wish to clarify that we had mentioned in a press conference after the Company’s Annual General Meeting on 12 January 2006 that the next 3 quarters results of the current financial year were expected to be reflective of the results of the first quarter of the current financial year. In the quarterly announcement of our first quarter results for the current financial year, the net profit for the said quarter fell 33% compared to the preceding corresponding quarter.

This announcement is dated 16 January 2006.

We refer to the above article appearing in The New Straits Times, Business
Times section, page B2 on Friday, 13 January 2006, a copy of which is enclosed
for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:-
" Gamuda Bhd expects a 30 per cent drop in net profit for its fiscal year to
July 2006 from RM265.8 million previously..."
