We refer to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s (“Bursa”) letter dated 8 October 2010 and our announcement dated 7 October 2010, regarding the above matter.

In reply to Bursa’s query, Gamuda Berhad (“Gamuda” or “the Company”) wishes to advise as follows:

(a) the Plaintiff claims interest of 8% per annum on the sum of RM4,977,430.00 calculated from 28th January 2010 until full settlement.

(b) Jade Homes Sdn Bhd ("JHSB") is not a major subsidiary of the Company within the meaning of Paragraph 1.01 of the Listing Requirements.

(c) The total cost of investment in JHSB is RM74,250,000.

(d) There is no financial or operational impact of the summons on the Group as the amount claimed is in respect of an amount withheld from the Purchase Price.

(e) There is no expected losses for the same reason as stated in paragraph (d) above.

(f) No hearing date has been fixed.

This announcement is dated 11 October 2010.
