Further to the announcement dated 15 June 2011, Gamuda Berhad (“Gamuda””) wishes to announce that MMC Gamuda KVMRT (T) Sdn Bhd (“JV”) (formerly known as Viable Synergy Sdn Bhd) had on 19 April 2012 accepted the award of the Underground Works Package (“Underground Works Package”) from Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (“MRT Corp”) appointing the JV as the contractor for the Underground Works Package of the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Project (“the Project”) for a contract price of RM8.28 billion.

The Underground Works Package comprises the design and construction of tunnels, 7 underground stations and other associated works in connection therewith for an approximate length of 9.5 km traversing from Semantan North Portal to Maluri South Portal.

The Articles of Agreement between MRT Corp and the JV shall be executed in due course.

Gamuda will make the appropriate announcement to Bursa Malaysia as and when there is a material development in relation to the Underground Works Package of the Project.
