UPDATE ON NOTICE OF ARBITRATION BY EMRAIL SDN BHD (COMPANY NO. 13875-D) ("EMRAIL") AGAINST MMC-GAMUDA JOINT VENTURE SDN BHD (COMPANY NO. 414492-M) ("MGJV") ("NOTICE")
Reference is made to the announcement made by Gamuda Berhad (Company No. 29579-T) (“Gamuda” or “Company”) on 29 October 2018 pertaining to the Notice received by its 50% jointly controlled entity, MGJV.
Gamuda wishes to inform that MGJV has today notified the Company that they have filed an Originating Summons at the Kuala Lumpur High Court to seek a declaration, among others, that the Notice is invalidly issued and Emrail is not entitled to commence arbitration proceedings against MGJV.
Gamuda will make the necessary announcement once there is a material development in relation to the above matter.
