KUALA LUMPUR HIGH COURT SUIT NO. WA-21C-3-05 OF 2016 ACCOLADE LAND SDN BHD ("ACCOLADE") VS MASS RAPID TRANSIT CORPORATION SDN BHD ("MRT CORP") & MMC GAMUDA KVMRT (PDP) SDN BHD ("KVMRT PDP") & OTHERS
Reference is made to the announcements made by Gamuda Berhad (Company No. 29579-T) (“Company” or “Gamuda”) dated 27 June 2016, 29 June 2016 and 21 April 2017 respectively.
The Board of Directors of Gamuda wishes to announce that Accolade has on even date withdrawn its appeal to the Court of Appeal against the Kuala Lumpur High Court’s decision of 20 April 2017 striking out Accolade’s Writ and Statement of Claim and dismissing the claim against Gamuda’s jointly controlled entity, KVMRT (PDP).
The withdrawal of the appeal will not have any financial and operational impact on the Gamuda Group for the financial year ending 31 July 2019.
None of the Directors or major shareholders of Gamuda, or persons connected with them, has any interest, direct or indirect in the aforesaid suit.
