Reference is made to the earlier announcements dated 9 March 2018 and 2 April 2018 made by Gamuda Berhad (Company No. 29579-T) (“Gamuda” or “Company”) pertaining to the following respectively: -

• receipt of four writs of summons together with the corresponding statements of claims filed by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (Company No. 200866-V) (“TNB”) against Gamuda’s 80% owned subsidiary, Gamuda Water Sdn Bhd (Company No. 297031-H) (“Gamuda Water”) for failure to pay electricity bills; and

• receipt of two third party notices by Syarikat Pengeluar Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd (Company No. 482346-K) (“Splash”) (an indirect 40% associate company) from Sungai Harmoni Sdn Bhd (Company No. 254154-U) (“Sg Harmoni”) in respect of the suits filed by TNB against Sg Harmoni also for failure to pay electricity bills.

As mentioned in the announcement dated 2 April 2018, Splash will commence legal proceedings against Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Company No. 393257-T) (“SYABAS”) for all outstanding receivables owing by SYABAS to Splash.
